A Week to Go

Linoblock print by Artist Katie Muth

December.  We know. It sneaks up on all of us.  The Collective show opens in just one week and we are gathering great designs from artists and artisans from across the province so that you don't have to think twice this holiday
season.

We've collected gifts for the fashion lover on your list -- hand knitted hats, jewellery, handmade bags and silk bowties  -- and decorative designs for the home, including pottery, handmade tables, ornaments and blown glass. There are whimsical dolls, hand carved canes and underwear that won't make you blush.

We've filled our walls with photography and affordable art, from artists who work in a mix of media such as watercolour, acrylic and encaustic designs.

If you've got the gift but can't find the right card, stop by on Sunday December 11.  We will be featuring an all-day letterpress event, with handmade cards and paper designs from printmakers, including some who work with vintage presses.

Done with your shopping. That's okay.  With designs from more than 40 artists and artisans here at The Collective show you might just discover something for yourself.  We won't tell.
